Website: NiaRecipes.com (“the Site”)
This notice supplements our Privacy Policy for visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom (UK). It explains our legal bases, your rights, and EEA/UK-specific options.
Who controls your data & how to contact us
For the Site, NiaRecipes acts as the controller. You can contact us at contact@niarecipes.com for any privacy request (access, deletion, objection, etc.).
Note: We currently rely on email for rights requests. If a postal address or representative becomes required, we will update this page promptly.
What we collect (summary)
- Technical/usage data: IP address, device/browser info, pages viewed, timestamps, approximate location (city/region), and similar logs.
- Cookies & similar tech: to run the Site, measure performance, and—with your consent in EEA/UK—personalize/measure ads.
- Interactions: comments, messages you send us, and the email/name you provide (if any).
See our main Privacy Policy for more detail.
Our legal bases for processing
We process personal data under one or more of these bases:
- Consent (e.g., non-essential cookies, personalized ads in EEA/UK).
- Legitimate interests (e.g., security, fraud prevention, core measurement—balanced against your rights).
- Contract (responding to requests you initiate).
- Legal obligation (complying with applicable laws).
These bases are defined in GDPR Article 6 and UK GDPR. GDPRICO

- Communications you initiate (e.g., contact form): contract/legitimate interests.
Cookies & consent (EEA/UK)
In the EEA/UK, we obtain consent for non-essential cookies (e.g., personalized ads). You can manage choices anytime via the cookie banner’s Preferences link. Your consent choices signal how we and our partners may use cookies and similar tech in those regions.
Your rights (EEA/UK)
Under GDPR/UK GDPR you may have the right to:
- be informed about our processing,
- access your data,
- rectify inaccurate data,
- erase data (“right to be forgotten”),
- restrict processing,

- object to processing (including certain profiling/marketing), and
- rights related to automated decision-making.
You also have the right to withdraw consent at any time (this won’t affect prior lawful processing) and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. GDPRICO
Automated decisions
We do not make decisions solely by automated means that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you (Article 22). If this changes, we will disclose it and explain your rights. GDPR
International transfers
We and some providers may process data outside your country (e.g., the United States). When we transfer personal data from the EEA/UK to countries without an adequacy decision, we use appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and the UK addendum, as applicable.
